Wan Ling is a registered speech and language pathologist who graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor degree in Speech Pathology - First Class Honours.
Wan Ling has more than a decade of experience working with adults and children across the hospital, clinic, preschool and special school settings. She specializes in the assessment and intervention of complex communication disorders and swallowing difficulties in the children and adults population. She believes in working collaboratively with families to achieve the best outcomes. Wan Ling keeps abreast with the latest research and practices evidence-based intervention for swallowing difficulties and various communication disorders, such as speech sound disorders (articulation and phonology) and language. She is also well-versed in the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices. She adopts a very functional approach to swallowing issues and believes in working on functional techniques to achieve the desired outcomes.
Wan Ling strongly believes and advocates for a family-centred intervention approach, where the family forms an integral part of the intervention and contributes significantly in providing holistic care for the client. Her therapy goals are formulated collaboratively with families to ensure optimal participation both in the clinic and at home.
