Emily is a warm and engaging Registered Speech and Language Pathologist with a genuine passion for collaborating with clients and their families to help them reach their goals.
Initially drawn to communications, Emily began her career in the media and public relations field, completing a Bachelor of Arts (Media & Psychology) from the University of New South Wales (Australia).
However, she quickly realized her desire to work more directly with children and young adults, helping them to make meaningful change. This led her to pursue a career in Speech Pathology.
Emily holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) from the University of Sydney (Australia). She has gained experience providing evidence-based interventions across diverse settings, including schools, daycare centres, hospitals, community health centres, and Telehealth services. Emily is particularly passionate about working with neurodivergent children and adolescents, with a strong focus on supporting clients in areas such as social communication, language, literacy, and speech sound development.
In addition to her qualifications, Emily has specialized training in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT), a field that focuses on retraining the nerves and muscles of the mouth and face for optimal function. OMT aims to restore proper muscle tone and function in the face, tongue, jaw, and neck, addressing disorders that impact speech, dentition, chewing, swallowing, tongue positioning, and nasal breathing.
