Stacy is a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist who brings a rich and diverse background across both hospital and community-based therapy settings. A graduate of the University of Sydney with First-Class Honours, Stacy was awarded the University’s Academic Merit Prize in 2017 and began her career in the adult sector, specialising in dysphagia (swallowing difficulties), acquired communication disorders, fluency and voice rehabilitation.
With a growing passion for working with children and adolescents, Stacy has since transitioned into the paediatric and community therapy space, where she supports clients across a broad developmental spectrum. She has provided speech therapy services in preschools, schools and outpatient settings, delivering both individual and group therapy for children with speech and language delays, childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), global developmental delay (GDD), autism (ASD) and social communication difficulties. She also has experience integrating AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) strategies to support functional communication for both children and adults.
Stacy has delivered evidence-based interventions for fluency disorders (stuttering), including the Lidcombe Program, Camperdown Program, Syllable Time Speech (STS) and the Oakville Program. Her fluency caseload includes preschoolers, school-aged children, and working adults. Additionally, she has a strong interest in speech, language, and cognitive-communication rehabilitation for children recovering from traumatic brain injuries or stroke as they reintegrate into school. Stacy has also completed training in voice therapy, supporting clients with puberphonia and gender-diverse voice goals, including transgender voice feminisation training.
Stacy works with children and young adults presenting with a wide range of communication needs, including speech sound disorders, CAS, ADHD, ASD, language delays, social communication difficulties, and acquired communication disorders. She is deeply committed to supporting children with diverse developmental profiles and values a collaborative approach with families and educators to promote meaningful progress across home, school, and community settings. Stacy’s calm and client-centred approach ensures that her therapy is engaging, individualised, and empowering for both her clients and their families.
